BRL 6000-21 certification: for above-ground energy systems
The BRL 6000-21 covers the design, installation and management of technical installations of the above-ground part of a soil energy system. Are you working on a power plant of a soil energy system? Then you are required to perform this as a licensed company.
Clients may only have work on a soil energy system performed by a certified company. Failure to do so is considered an economic crime. Depending on your field and discipline, you can be certified for different types of installations and activities: design, installation and/or management.
Subdivisions within the BRL 6000-21
The BRL 6000-21 distinguishes between soil energy systems for individual homes and for residential buildings and/or utility buildings. Six sub-sub-areas are distinguished within the BRL 6000-21, based on the type of soil energy system and the nature of the activities:
