Qualified welding supervisor for PE electronic welding
Does your organization want to meet the requirements around PE electrofusion welding? With the accredited welding supervisor training according to NTA 8828:2018, Normec trains participants to become expert supervisors within the welding process.
During the training course, trainees learn all about responsibilities, quality requirements and the correct assessment of welding activities. Upon successful completion, welding supervisors meet the requirements of pipeline operators.
Theory and practice in one course
The course lasts 2.5 days and combines theory, practice and examination in one complete course. Thus, participants develop not only substantive knowledge but also the practical skills needed in daily practice.
The training consists of:
- 15 hours of theory instruction
- 5 hours of practical training
- Practical exam of 90 minutes
- Theory exam of 75 minutes
During the theory lessons, the focus is on what responsibilities different parties have within the welding process. In addition, participants learn all about the PE electrode welding method, material properties, application areas and inspection and reporting requirements.
Security with a recognized certificate
Upon completion of the course, participants take a theory and practical exam. Upon successful completion, they receive a NEN-recognized certificate and a personalized welding supervisor pass.

The certificate and personal welding supervisor pass are valid for two years. After that, participants can recertify by taking a theory and practical exam again.
To prepare participants optimally, Normec offers a refresher course in accordance with NTA 8828+A1:2019. After successful recertification, the certificate and welding supervisor pass are valid for another three years.
