Quickly become a certified PE welder
Do you want to train electrical welders according to the current requirements within the infrastructure? With Normec's PE electrical welder training course you follow a complete course in which theory, practice and examination come together.
In four days, participants develop the knowledge and skills needed to perform high-quality electrofusion welding. Upon successful completion, welders meet the requirements of pipeline operators according to the latest NTA 8828 guidelines.
Theory and practice reinforce each other
Good electrofusion welding requires precision, expert knowledge and an understanding of materials and processes. Therefore, the course combines comprehensive theory lessons with intensive practical training.
The curriculum consists of:
- 12 hours of theoretical instruction
- 12 hours of practical training
- 4 hours of practical examination
- 1 hour theory exam via CITO
During the course, participants learn to work according to a precise step-by-step plan for performing quality electrofusion welding. In addition, they gain insight into welding methods, material properties, application areas and inspection and reporting requirements.
In the practical classes, trainees practice extensively assessing and adjusting materials as well as working under various practical conditions, such as varying weather conditions.
Security with a NEN-recognized certificate
The training concludes with a practical and theoretical exam. During the practical exam, participants make four welding joints that are assessed by an independent examiner. A detachment test is used to determine whether the connections comply with the standard.
What this gives you concretely:
- You have demonstrably qualified PE electrofusion welders.
- You meet the current requirements of NTA 8828.
- You increase the quality and reliability of welded connections
- You invest in safe and professional execution of work.
- You secure knowledge of inspection and reporting requirements within your organization.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a NEN-recognized certificate and a personalized welding pass.
