With the introduction of the Wtta (Act on the Authorization and Provision of Workers), the playing field is changing for staffing agencies and organizations that house migrant workers.
In this news article, we inform you about the impact of this law and the important role that the SNF quality mark plays in this context.
Starting January 1, 2027, the Wtta will impose mandatory requirements on companies that supply workers. From that date onward, labor supply will be permitted exclusively for organizations with a valid authorization from the future Dutch Labor Supply Market Authority (NAU).
A key component of this authorization concerns housing. Companies that provide housing for migrant workers must demonstrably meet certified housing standards, such as the SNF quality mark, in accordance with the Wtta’s regulatory framework.
For housing providers, this means that SNF-certified housing is no longer merely a quality choice, nor is it solely a result of membership requirements or rules regarding deductions from the statutory minimum wage. With the entry into force of the Wtta, certified housing becomes a legal requirement within the admission system.
