OSB Hallmark to become Clean Hallmark as of Jan. 1, 2022

OSB Quality Mark will become Keurmerk Schoon on January 1, 2022

The General Assembly of Schoonmakend Nederland last week approved several changes surrounding the association's membership.

Changes

As of January 1, 2022, a number of changes will be made to the OSB Seal of Approval. First of all, the name and logo of the hallmark will change. From now on, the hallmark will be called Keurmerk Schoon. The new name should ensure that it is at once clear what Schoonmakend Nederland stands for.

Reduction of administrative burden

But there will also be substantive changes. The most important substantive change is that it will be possible for companies with a turnover lower than €10 million to opt for the Schoonmakend Nederland standard, instead of the SNA standard. The new standard has the consequence that the SNA audit, will take place not twice but once a year. Especially many smaller entrepreneurs have this wish because this is more in line with practice and this also reduces costs.

Also, companies that cannot fully meet the SNA standard due to the nature of the work are eligible for the hallmark with the Schoonmakend Nederland standard.

Three pillars

The Keurmerk Schoon continues to consist of three pillars. It is built by an inspection on the financial and personnel administration (SNA standard/ NEN-4400 or the Schoonmakend Nederland standard based on it), the code responsible market behavior and cleaning specific requirements.
