BRL SIKB 7500 and the Decree on Soil Quality explained
The BRL SIKB 7500 relates to the acceptance, approval and processing of contaminated soil, dredging spoil and other waste materials that can be processed into soil. This takes place in accordance with the Soil Quality Decree (Bbk).
(Cold) immobilization of contaminated soil and dredged material into a building material also falls within the scope of this assessment guideline.
The Bbk requires these activities to be carried out by a certified and approved company. If this is not the case, an organization is acting in violation of the laws and regulations. This is considered an environmental crime.

Two protocols apply within the BRL SIKB 7500:
Protocol 7510
Process-based ex situ remediation and immobilization of soil and dredged material.
Protocol 7511
Dewatering and maturation of dredged material.
