What are the Security Hallmarks?

The Security Hallmarks were developed by the Dutch Security Industry to further professionalize the sector. With seven different quality marks you can prove your quality level as a security organization and improve it continuously.

Security activities are broad. Think of mobile surveillance, opening and closing rounds, access control and guarding people and goods. With a hallmark you show that you perform these activities according to clear, recognized standards. This way you create trust with clients, employees and supervisors.

How does it work in practice?

A seal of approval means that an independent certifying body assesses whether your organization meets the set requirements. After a positive assessment, you will receive the certificate. Annual surveillance audits ensure that you continue to meet the standard.

Overview of the different quality marks:

1. Hallmark Security
For private security organizations that perform security work for third parties, such as guarding persons, goods and sites.

2. Hallmark Flex Companies
For temporary employment and secondment companies specializing in security personnel, with an ND license.

3. Hallmark Event Security
For security organizations with a license according to article 3a Wpbr that secure events as a main contractor.

4. Private Investigation Bureau (POB) Hallmark
For investigation agencies that work in accordance with laws and regulations, including the privacy code of conduct.

5. Hallmark Hospitality Security
For organizations with a (ND) license according to article 3a Wpbr that secure catering establishments.

6. Hallmark for the transport of money and valuables
For companies that transport and manage limited-volume money and valuables on behalf of third parties.

7. Hallmark Socially Responsible Security (MVB)
An additional hallmark that distinguishes you in the field of sustainability. Only obtainable in combination with another hallmark.

With a hallmark:

  • Increase security awareness within your organization.
  • Strengthen trust with customers and clients
  • Differentiate you from competitors
  • Increase your chances of new orders
  • Structurally secure quality and working methods
  • Increase customer and employee satisfaction
  • Demonstrate your responsibility in the field of safety

You show that quality and safety are not a promise, but a controlled standard.
