What is SCC* certification and why is it important?
SCC* certification focuses on the practical implementation of HSE (Safety, Health and Environment) requirements on the shop floor. The VCA* level is intended for organizations that do not use subcontractors.
With an SCC* certificate you show that safety, health and environment is a structural part of your way of working. As an independent certification body, we assess whether your organization complies with the certification scheme. If your assessment is positive, you will receive the certificate.
In this way you combine safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
How does it work in practice?
The SCC checklist helps you take a structured approach to safety. The certification scheme was originally developed for the (petro)chemical sector, but today is widely applied in sectors with increased risks, such as:
- Mechanical and mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering and process control
- Construction and civil engineering
- Technical services (insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, blasting/conservation, vertical transport)
The client determines whether an SCC certificate is required and which level is needed: SCC*, SCC**, or SCC Petrochemical.
Note: SCC is not intended for the self-employed without personnel (zzp'ers)
