What is a geo-electric measurement?
With a geo-electric measurement you demonstrate the liquid tightness of soil protection facilities. This method is particularly suitable for facilities that cannot be emptied or can only be emptied at high cost.
For example:
- Collection basins for fire extinguishing water or leachate water
- Emergency basins
- Pipes
- Foil structures under tank farms or outdoor storage facilities.
With this measurement method, you avoid unnecessary downtime and high operational costs while still meeting applicable requirements.
How does the inspection according to protocol 6702 proceed?
After assignment, we schedule the inspection. The liquid tightness of the facility is demonstrated in accordance with protocol 6702 by:
- A visual inspection of the visible parts
- A geo-electric measurement
During the measurement, we introduce energy into the soil around the facility using electrodes. Within the facility, we place a grid of sensors. Do these sensors detect energy from outside the facility? If so, there may be a leak.
After completion, you receive a clear report with the inspection results. Does the facility meet the requirements? Then we will issue the Liquid-tight Facility Declaration.
