What is a hydrological measurement?
Periodic inspection of company sewers are mandatory from 2024 due to the introduction of the Environment Act . As a manager, you are always responsible for any soil contamination caused by leaks. You want to manage that risk.
With a hydrological measurement in accordance with AS 6703 we assess the liquid tightness of your company's sewage system. This gives you insight into the condition of your sewer system and prevents environmental damage and liability.
What types of company sewers do we inspect?
A company sewer consists of pipes, connections and components such as gullies, channel elements, manholes, sludge collection pits, oil water separators and control pits for the disposal of company wastewater.
We distinguish between two types of systems:
- Company sewers under free decay
- Company sewers with overpressure (sewage pressure lines).
We can inspect both systems according to protocol AS 6703.
How the inspection proceeds
The company sewage system, free decay and/or overpressure, is tested with a hydrological measurement according to protocol AS 6703. After performing the inspection, you will receive a clear report with the results. Does the system meet the requirements? Then we issue the Liquid-tight Facility Declaration.
This gives you demonstrable proof that your company sewer system meets the applicable requirements.

The liquid-tightness of the company sewage system This concerns the company sewage connected to liquid-tight soil facilities and/or other soil barrier facilities.

This can be phased by testing all receiving points and pipes separately for leakage loss. But it is also possible to test receiving points simultaneously. This depends on the specific situation. We will discuss the possibilities together in advance.

The frequency is once every 6 years. For a separation plant (OBAS), the frenation is once every 5 years.
