PayOK quality mark and the law on prevention of fraud (WAS)

Are you a client in the temporary employment sector? Then you are responsible and liable for the payment of correct wages by contractors throughout the chain according to the Wet Aanpak Schijnconstructies (WAS).

Are you a contractor? Then you want to show clients that your employees receive the correct wages and that your organization is reliable to work with.

The PayOK quality mark helps you demonstrate this certainty. Normec supports you quickly and efficiently.

How PayOK certification works in practice

The PayOK hallmark was established by the PayOK Foundation and tests organizations within the chain for compliance with the Act on the approach to bogus constructions (WAS). The goal is clear: to create insight into the chain and limit risks of chain liability. For both client and contractor.

With this certificate you show that:

  • Employees receive the correct wages
  • Your organization complies with relevant laws and regulations
  • Risks for you and your (main) client are minimized

We independently assess whether your organization meets the standards. Do you obtain the quality mark? Then we check your records annually to ensure quality.

Report with findings and points for improvement

Normec knows the PayOK standards in detail. We independently and carefully assess whether your organization meets all requirements. During the assessment we look at your payroll administration, processes and compliance with legal obligations. You will receive a clear report with our findings and possible points of improvement.

With a PayOK certification:

  • Show that you are a good employer.
  • Limit the risk of chain liability under the WAS regulations
  • Differentiate yourself from competitors in the market
  • Professionalize your back office and payroll administration
  • Give your clients extra security within the chain

Make transparent how you work and show that fair remuneration is a matter of course for you.

PayOK for foreign labor providers

Especially when using foreign providers, the risks for Dutch clients increase. A separate standard for foreign providers of labor was therefore developed in 2020.

Foreign companies that provide labor or hire work in the Netherlands can demonstrate with the PayOK label that they meet the same requirements as Dutch companies.

For you as a client, this means:

  • Less risk of additional taxes or fines
  • More transparency in international collaborations
  • Better control of supply chain responsibility

PayOK certification thus offers a safe and forward-looking solution in an international labor market.
