SNA quality mark as proof of reliability

Do you want your temporary employment agency, cleaning company, secondment agency, payroll company or contractor company to show that you have your affairs in order? Then the SNA hallmark is a powerful proof. Sometimes the hallmark is required by an industry organization. In other cases, clients explicitly ask for it.

With SNA certification you demonstrate that you meet the requirements of NEN 4400-1 or NEN 4400-2 (depending on your situation) and the applicable SNA Standards Manual. With decades of experience in inspections, we ensure expert assessment and a smooth turnaround time.

What does the SNA hallmark mean?

SNA stands for Stichting Normering Arbeid. The hallmark was developed to limit risks surrounding chain and hirer liability. With an SNA hallmark you show that you:

  • Correctly declare and remit wage tax, sales tax and social premiums
  • Make wage payments in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations
  • Carry out identity and work permit checks carefully
  • Your administration is transparent and verifiable

For clients, this means certainty. They know that they are working with an organization that complies with the rules and contributes to a fair and healthy labor market.

The three steps of the SNA hallmark

  1. 1.

    Inspection

Together we map out the current situation, checking the components of the NEN 4400-1 / NEN 4400-2 standard.

  2. 2.

    Report

You receive a report from us based on the inspection, in which the various components for your company are assessed. We also report where improvement is needed.

  3. 3.

    Frequency

Usually once every six months, we inspect your organization to make sure you still meet the requirements of the SNA seal of approval.

Frequently asked questions about the SNA quality mark

The hallmark is intended for temporary employment agencies, cleaning companies, secondment agencies, payroll companies and (sub)contractors of work.

NEN 4400-1 applies to Dutch companies. NEN 4400-2 is intended for companies operating on the Dutch market from abroad.

After certification, an audit takes place in principle every six months to ensure compliance.

If areas for improvement are identified during the inspection, you will be given the opportunity to correct them.

After a positive inspection and when you meet all the requirements, your organization will be included in the SNA register.

The SNA hallmark is not required by law. However, the hallmark is widely supported in the industry and clients appreciate it if you are SNA certified. All certified institutions can be found in the public SNA register.

After being awarded the seal of approval, your personnel administration, payroll administration, financial administration and sector-specific collective bargaining compliance (if applicable) must usually be inspected every six months in order to maintain the SNA seal of approval.

Prior to the inspection, you will be asked to send some documents to the inspector. The inspector goes through your documents so that he or she is well prepared for the inspection.

On the day of the inspection, the inspector begins with an introductory interview and assesses your company on all applicable standard requirements. You provide the inspector with all the necessary information and the inspector takes samples of your records.

At the end of the inspection, a wrap-up meeting is held with you and the inspection result is reviewed with you.
