International Certification Standard
Since March 2018, the ISO 45001:2018 standard, “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems,” has replaced the previous BS OHSAS 18001:2007 as the international certification standard for occupational health and safety management systems.

In December 2023, the new standard DIN EN ISO 45001:2023 was published, replacing DIN ISO 45001:2018. This standard now forms the basis for the certification of management systems for occupational health and safety.

Yes, Normec VQZ auditors are authorized to audit several systems simultaneously or in combination. In the case of current certificates, this depends in part on the expiration date. ISO standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 can be easily combined due to their structure. System audits such as VCA and ISO 9001 can also be combined.

A certification process usually consists of several steps, including the welcome meeting, the review of documents, the on-site audit and the decision on certification. During the audit, an auditor evaluates the processes, documentation and practical implementation in your organization, among other things.

Normec VQZ offers a transfer service to facilitate the transition from your current certification body to Normec VQZ. You will be fully supported and guided throughout the process. You can contact us by e-mail, telephone or via the request form.

Certification is performed by an independent certification body such as ours (Normec VQZ GmbH), which tests GOI compliance based on a defined set of criteria. During the audit, the law firm's staffing, procedures, documentation, quality assurance and IT systems, among other things, are assessed. Upon a successful audit, the law firm receives a GOI certificate, with periodic reassessments (e.g., every 3 years) to ensure consistent quality.
