Accreditations & Certifications
Market participants need assurance regarding the quality of the goods and services they receive. Using a standard as a basis, a supplier can, for example, have its product or service objectively assessed or tested by a laboratory, certification body, or inspection agency. If the results are satisfactory, the assessment organization issues a declaration of conformity for the product or service. This declaration usually takes the form of a certificate or a statement. That is why an assessment body is called a conformity assessment body. In addition to our accreditations, Normec QS also holds ministerial recognition for: - Conducting inspections for the issuance of a Declaration of Liquid-Tight Facilities (AS 6700) for the following protocols: AS 6701, AS 6702, and AS 6703. - Conducting inspections during the construction of a project in which IBC building materials are used (AS 6900) for protocol AS 6901. Conducting inspections during the operational phase of an IBC project (AS 6900) for protocol AS 6902. Normec QS’s training and certification activities are recognized by: - Certification Scheme for Cable Infrastructure and Pipe-Laying Companies (Stichting CKB) - Training and Development Fund for the Technical Installation Sector (OTIB) - Dutch Standardization Institute (NEN) for training, examination, and certification of PE electric welders (NTA 8828)

Processing of green residual streams
The first evaluation after three months of CO2 certificates for processing green residual streams shows a lot of vigor among green recycling companies. These companies now have the option of issuing CO2 certificates to parties that have green residual streams recycled. Eleven sites have now had their CO2 gains from their operations officially verified, nine sites are already in the starting blocks for the process, and nine disposers of green waste streams - such as municipalities - have now received CO2 certificates. The latter number is expected to increase rapidly.

Pilot verifications with CO2 calculation tool green waste Commissioned by the BVOR, QS has carried out several pilot verifications for validation according to the new BVOR verification protocol and the updated CO2 calculation tool for green waste. If you want to receive CO2 certificates based on the verified results from the calculation tool, QS as a recognized and fully independent party can perform the verification for you.

Managers of IBC works are obliged to maintain the isolating construction, to monitor it and to report periodically to the competent authority. (Periodic) inspections may only be carried out by an accredited and ministerially recognized inspection body. Make sure that you as manager report periodically.

Technical service life of PVC pipes
The usefulness and necessity of a comprehensive condition assessment of PVC pipes There certainly is. A large proportion of underground PVC pipes are already quite old and are approaching the end of their technical service life in the coming years. This depends on many factors, such as the environment, as well as the quality of the pipes and how long they have been in the ground. Every year, failing pipes cause water waste and damage to infrastructure that leads to prohibitively expensive repairs. A shame, right?

Green gas production certification
Green gas is gaining popularity as a renewable energy source, and for farmers, mono-manure fermentation is an attractive way to produce this gas. In mono-manure fermentation, only animal manure is fermented to produce biogas, which is then upgraded to green gas. To ensure that the gas produced meets sustainability standards, certification is essential. Normec QS supports farmers in this process by certifying their green gas production according to standards such as ISCC and Better Biomass (NTA 8080).
